Why are freight charges being added on? And why is my ordering taking longer than 2 days to ship?

The website says Free Shipping, so why are freight charges being added on? 

Voss Helmets offers free shipping to customers in Continental USA and Canada, with orders over $49.99. For orders falling below $49.99 we have a flat rate shipping fee of $9.99.

International shipping is also an added shipping charge starting at $19.99 per order, depending on which country it is shipping to. Return charges vary for International orders, please contact us for info on return charges for International orders.

Unfortunately there are some locations in the US that we are not able to offer free 2-day shipping to, such as Hawaii, and Alaska. Some locations in Canada will also take longer than 2 days to ship to as the default service is by GROUND, however we are able to explore some quicker options for an additional freight charge.
